兄と二人で行きました。舞妓さんとの出会いは二人とも初めてでとても楽しくて面白かったです。お母さんは英語でうまく話せているので、色々な説明をしてくださいました。舞妓さんは日本語しかしゃべれなかったので、私は舞子さんとの会話内容を日本語がわからない兄に通訳していましたが、日本語がまったくわからない外国人のお客さんの場合は、お母さんに通訳していただけるのかと思っています。初めてのお客さんに大変オススメです。最初は50分が少ないかもと思っていたのに、十分です。もう終わりの時間に近づいたら、また何を聞いたらいいかなと迷っていました(笑)なので、聞きたい質問を準備してきた方がいいと思います。また、驚かせることをたくさん知ることができました。
I ordered this plan for me and my brother. Nither me nor him had a chance to meet and talk to maiko or geiko before, so everything was really interesting. Okasan (the mother where maikos and geikos live) can speak very good Egnlish (very understandable, not Japanese English), so she explained to us a lot of things in Eng. However, our maiko couldn't speak Eng, so during our private conversation I was the interpreter to my brother who doesn't know any word in Jp. On the other hand, I belive that for foreign guests who don't know Jp okasan might kindly interprete, so the language will not be a problem for you. I highly reccomend this side of Japan, as where can you else see real maiko or geiko in the world? 50 minutes might seem not enough, but believe me, for the first or second meeting it is really enough. Hovewer, at the end of the meeting we could not make up any good questions, so I suggest you to make a list of the questions you would like to ask maiko or geiko. It is you chance to know more about this world and learn wow-things about them.
