This is my first time to ride a horse. The host/owner is really nice, but when it comes to horse riding, he might be really serious and strict (in a good way). I really learned a lot from him.
I really recommend this activity to foreigners that can speak Japanese.
Make sure to wear a swim suit (surfing pants or so) when you participate this activity. We rode the horses to the beach and to the water, and it was really fun.
